Grandma’s apple pie

  • 9 yellow apples
  • 100 gr. butter
  • 120 gr. sugar
  • 120 gr. flour
  • a glass of milk
  • 1 egg + egg yolk
  • baking powder
  • a pinch of salt

Peel and thinly slice the apples, butter a 24 cm wide mould and put a layer of 3 apples. Sprinkle a spoonful of sugar and 1 of melted butter. Repeat this 3 times
prepare a cream mixing the eggs with the flour, 60 gr.of sugar, salt, baking powder . Slowly pour the milkr until you get a smooth mixture. Pour the mixture on the apples and bake the pie in the hot - 180° – oven for about an hour.
Let it cool down and serve with custard or cinnamon icecream.
